Opinion: How the Year 2020 Turned Freedom into Socialism
Socialism is a temporary state between capitalism and communism. Freedom is stifled and descent crushed under its control. (1) 2020 was the year individual choice withered and blew away.

Masks must be worn or you will surely die!
Wash your hands for 2 minutes and sanitize your whole house or you will surely die!
Social Distancing while outside or in groups must occur or you will surely die!
Stay confined to your home unless necessary or you will surely die!
Report anyone not adhering to mask and social distancing for fear they will infect you or your loved ones and together will surely die!
Our 2020 leader didn’t wear a mask but was the catalyst of the new vaccine, remove him anyway or you will surely die!
The cure for this calamity will come from a change of leadership and strong government control of the pandemic or you will surely die! (In fact, we will cheat, lie and manipulate your votes to assure you of our promise to change. We will massage pandemic numbers to keep our narrative alive and clicks-a-coming. We will do all this because we can. We purchased your path to redemption and you believed!)
The Truth
Fear will take over and the masses are driven to hysteria (remember the toilet paper and sanitizer debacles) when the unvarnished truth is covered up. Never mind the fact that millions of people in the world die from something every year, our DNA demands it: in the United States alone over 650,000 people die a year from respiratory-related diseases (2); over 500,000 a year die from diabetes, alcohol, and obesity-related diseases; over 75,000 a year die from illicit drug use (5); over 655,000 a year die from heart disease; (6) and those startling numbers were before the COVID 19 circus reared its ugly head. In 2020 and into 2021, Covid-19 death rates were approximately 500,000 and that included those with premorbid conditions before getting the virus and subsequently dying from it.
Stand in line COVID-19, you’re still a smaller threat to mankind than the big boy plagues of the past and you will be vaccine-contained soon (thanks to President Trump). The Spanish Flu in the early 1900s killed over 5% of the world’s population (3) and the deaths from the Black Plague were estimated at 475 million. (4)
In 2020 the opposition party used the Covid-19 pandemic to get into power and destroy any evidence of their treacherous machinations past and present. One party leader even commented that the “pandemic was a godsend” for them in winning the election. They manipulated you with hysteria through fear instead of through reason and you believed.
If the manipulation of the truth is left unbridled you will soon be wrapped in a full-body mask (made in China) and told to love it or you will surely die. Taking care of yourself and your health should be first and foremost for the prevention of disease. Seeking out the truth, although not always easy, is freedom’s gift.
Conclusion
2020 has been racked with insanity and there is no rainbow at the ready anytime soon. Our world didn’t dry up and die with prior pandemics and it won’t dry up and die with this one. You’ve been played again little lemming and since you don’t learn your lessons well, there will be plenty more cliffs for you to jump from.
