Min Pin Eating Too Fast?

A Simple Solution

Jo Jo

My Min Pin has a ferocious appetite even though he is considered a “tiny breed”.  It is recommended that he be fed once a day and no more than a one cup to keep his weight down.  Well, this may be true for most Min Pins but not one that walks almost 3 miles a day.  JoJo is always HUNGRY and when I feed him will devour the meal within 60 seconds. (This is fact since I timed him!)

One day after eating a bone that he too devoured in record time, proceeded to throw up everything including his earlier meal.  I am sure it was because he inhaled the bone.  JoJo was fine afterwards but I called the vet to make sure.  She recommended a special food bowl, one that would slow down his eating gravitas.

I went to Walmart that very day and found the perfect one.  It looked like a mouse maze and was twice the size of my dog’s regular bowl.  This convoluted solution did the trick.  Not only did JoJo eat slower, but he left food behind.  Too exhausted maybe?  The ridges and mazes of the bowl help prevent bloat, regurgitation and obesity.

This marvelous innovation is sold by Petstages and can also be found online at Chewy.com.   I just can’t believe the difference and recommend the product wholeheartedly.
