Sad Songs Lift Me

Definition of Sadness:

Feeling down or unhappy in response to grief, discouragement, pain, fear or hopelessness.

Ever since I was old enough to feel pain, sadness or fear, my spirit would rise when certain music was played. Most of the time it was listening to my dad’s country music in his truck on our rides together or in my car, alone, when I was older and confused about what was happening to my life.

Although the artists I adored have changed throughout the years, memories of their heart felt songs are mine forever. Funny how that is. Someone else’s misery will always have one-upmanship on yours. Sadness hurts, get over it, and move on knowing that everything happens for a reason.

So many favorite songs and artists, so little time. However I did managed to chose my top 6. Hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
