I have been more than just a little interested in the all electric Tesla automobile for quite sometime. Story Time
Trust me when I say that I never even heard of Tesla until two years ago when my husband and I went to Santa Monica, CA to visit my son and family for Christmas vacation.
We had a wonderful time playing at the beach (in December), Disneyland, and all other grand and expensive sites LA county has to offer. One day while shopping the promenade in downtown Santa Monica, we walked past a store with an eye-popping black Tesla in the show room. My son asked us to go in with him and look the vehicle over. Well, that was the start of a love affair unprecedented in the history of man! They quickly signed up for a test drive and dragged me with them.
After a white knuckling adventure navigating the hills of Santa Monica and the sheer exhilaration from cornering every turn with ease, comfort and yes, speed, we were hooked. ( It helped that everywhere we went people were gawking at us .)
My son, an avid dreamer and researcher, has since invested in Tesla and its sister company, Solar City. These two companies are now his passion. He has a young family and their future and health depend on a healing and clean environment. My husband, an electrical engineer and physician, was significantly impressed with Tesla’s incorporation of high technology and integrity. A automobile still in its infancy, out performing the well established competition, was well worth the investment. (Last year, Tesla’s stock was up 175%.)
